Where Sailing Dreams Begin
Serving New England and Beyond
Ed Stott brings to the yacht brokerage business many years of sailing and business experience.  He has been a boat owner since 1971, racing around the buoys in the Beverly-Marblehead area for a number of years.

After Ed’s first participation in a Bermuda race in 1977 he shifted gears and his love for sailing focused primarily on cruising and long distance passage making.  He had lived aboard his Swan 44 in the Caribbean for several seasons and has logged over 70,000 offshore miles through numerous yacht deliveries to and from the Caribbean including sailing transatlantic with the BT Challenge. Ed brings a lot of expertise and sound advice to sailors interested in coastal cruising, offshore sailing and especially long distance passage making.

Prior to the yacht brokerage business Ed owned a successful insurance brokerage, which he sold to pursue his sailing interest. He has spent the last ten years providing offshore coaching to owners and skippers interested in broadening their offshore preparation skills and techniques.

For the truth is that I already know as much about my fate as I need to know.  The day will come when I will die.  So the only matter of consequence before me is what I will do with my allotted time.  I can remain on shore, paralyzed with fear, or I can raise my sails and dip and soar in the breeze." - Richard Bode, "First you have to row a little boat"
